Johannesburg – Thursday, 09 April 2020 – The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is pleased to announce that it will be broadcasting a multifaith Easter schedule to assist millions of South Africans to observe the Easter period. Subsequent to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s declaration that the country will be on a 21-day lockdown to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, and noting that the lockdown affects widely observed religious holidays in South Africa, the SABC has partnered with the South African Council of Churches (SACC), to render an uplifting “Let us Pray” schedule, to mark the Easter period.
